A Japanese game company, Pocketpair, announced that the Open World Game, Palworld, would officially launch version 1.0 in 2026, free of pre-emption, and would be accompanied by an “unprecedented and massive update”. The government also announced that many more surprises will be released in 2025.

Paro, the phantom, has opened the world to players to islands full of mysterious creatures, while hunting through “Paroball” to breed the phantom “Paro” with special capabilities, and has collected resources to build props and bases.

From 19 January 2024 onward, the work began at the PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S/Xbox One platforms, in October of the same year on the PS5 platform, and by February 2025, according to official statistics, the number of players had surpassed 32 million.

Pocketpair released earlier a premonition film for the 1.0 edition of “Paro the Fantasia” and the founder of the studio and Executive Chief Takuro in the bilibli version greets Chinese players in Chinese.

Pocketpair, Director General of Communication Bucky, stated that the launch of the phantom Paru has released five major updates to date, including new raids, new islands, cross-platforms and Telaria.

Bucky points out that the team will now focus on the “basic adjustment and organization” of the game to ensure that the 1.0 official version provides a more stable and complete experience and brings about the most massive updates in history. The remaining unconnected updates this year are smaller in scale, but promises are still coming out of winter.

Bucky also mentioned that Pocketpair Publishing, a distributioner founded earlier this year, will use the success of phantom Palo to support other developers, including financial, marketing and distribution assistance, to help produce more interesting games.

At the same time, there are several small teams within Pocketpair that continue to test new ideas, and it is expected that more will be done in the future.
