696 million users + 50 billion in the market! Bright-eyed responses

Cao Suk-min: The micro-short play is a “two billion users.”

Taking stock of the overall development of the industry, Cao Sook-Sook has made it clear that: “At the moment, the country has become a major radio- and television-based country on the scale of users, content, industry, etc. In terms of the size of the users, our cable, IPTV, Internet, live television and other large-screen television users have exceeded 1 billion, and the number of Internet audio-visual users has reached 1.09 billion, which is `two billion’; in terms of the content scale, more than 1,500 television and web plays have been produced and distributed since 1455, more than 3,500 animations have been produced and more than 35000 documentaries have been recorded for more than 350,000 hours, and approximately 150,000 mini-fellows; and in terms of the size of industry, in 2024, the total income of the country’s wide television listening services reached 1.49 trillion yuan, an increase of 61.96 per cent, compared with the end of 1355.”

As one of the fastest-growing emerging business patterns in the 14th Five-Year Period, the micro-short drama has become deeply integrated into the development pattern of “two business integrations, three attributes, four tiers of synergy”, which has become an important force in serving the cultural needs of the population and in increasing the size of the industry.

HAN WIN: 696 million users + 50 billion market, “Hands and hands together” to develop fine work

A detailed account of developments in the Han Winter Focus Micro-Syndicate industry, he stated: “The mini-synthesis has flourished in recent years and has rapidly become an important feature of the new popular literature, with the General Directorate of Radio and Television working to promote the healthy and stable development of the micro-synthetic industry.” He said: “At July this year, according to market institutions, the size of the country’s micro-short drama users reached 696 million, and in 2024 the size of the market had exceeded 50 billion yuan, and this year it is expected to achieve a greater breakthrough than last year.”

Turning to the creation of fine works, Han Winter noted in particular: “We have strengthened the creative support for the selection of topics, with the emergence of a number of outstanding works, such as the Lions Mountain Sea, where the peach blossoms bloom, and the micro-short play showing a more rich and sophisticated development of the subject.” Among them, “Where the peach blossoms blooming” served as a micro-short play on the first contemporary reality in Tibet, in the context of the village of Lin Zigara, where the story of the search for roots and the revitalization of villages by the descendants of Tibetan cadres was told, the General Directorate of Selection, “Trave with micro-short dramas” recommended the show, and 14 provincial guards’ visions were broadcast in tandem with the 5 major web platforms, as a model for the integration of “Mitice drama + literature tour + melody”.

Policy support goes hand in hand with regulatory norms. At the same time, a classification-level management mechanism has been set up, and a Micro-Sphere Management Scheme is being developed, which plans to be published in the form of sectoral regulations, to correct in a timely manner the problems of the crowd, which reflect a strong “things” and “gangs”.” He identified three main directions for the future: “to promote the improvement of quality and quality of resources in favour of quality; to promote popularization and to stimulate the creativity of people; and to promote internationalization and the exchange of experiences”.

Tung Zheng: More than 300 applications to sea, micro-short plays becoming a new vehicle for international cultural exchange

The international version of our audio-visual platform has reached more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, and more than 300 Chinese micro-shorts have been used on offline platforms.” He stressed that the mini-short play had become a new and powerful force for the audio-visual “go-out” of China, by virtue of its light-quantitative and narrative characteristics.

The comprehensive launch message, and the industry will work in the future to promote the cross-screen dissemination of high-quality micro-short dramas, deepen the `micro-short +’ model and optimize resource allocation to stimulate originality. By virtue of its unique charisma and dynamism, the mini-short drama is becoming an important growth point and a new highlight for television to listen to high-quality development.
